Resistance isn't the enemy

Hi Reader,

You may not know this about me, but I've been doing the self-employed thing for the past 14 years.

I’ve been a private tutor, website designer, freelance writer, writing coach, instructional designer—and now I’m a coach/tarot reader/astrologer hybrid. (Can you tell I'm a Gemini? 😉)

I’ve taken more courses and joined more memberships than I can count.

And here’s something I’ve started to see clearly:

A lot of them are built around this idea that someone out there has finally cracked the code.

And if you just follow their steps—just post consistently, follow up diligently, write the right kind of sales page—everything will start working.

But what happens when you can’t follow the steps?

What happens when you stare at the content calendar and just feel like you're trying to push a boulder up a hill?

Or when the idea of sending a template follow-up email makes you want to organize your kids playroom...or scrub that oatmeal off of the pot that's been sitting in the sink for 3 days.

And then the shame kicks in. The guilt. The overthinking.

You tell yourself, I just need to push through.
You start thinking, If I can’t even do this, maybe I’m not cut out for it.

And slowly, your creativity shuts down.

Not because you have nothing to say.

But because you’re convinced that their way is the way and if you can't do it, there's something wrong with you.

That’s been my story. And it’s been the story of a lot of people I work with, too.

After reading hundreds of birth charts, I’ve come to believe this:

Resistance isn’t the enemy.
It’s the part of you that knows when something’s off.
It’s the part trying to get your attention.

It’s not saying “you’re lazy.”
It’s saying “this isn’t yours.”

Over the next few months, I’ll be exploring questions like:

Why do we spend so much time and money trying to make other people's processes and systems work for us?

What happens when we work with our resistance and procrastination to see what's underneath?

How can tarot, astrology, and intuitive practices help us find ourselves and our businesses under all of the conditioning, noise, and fear?

...and more.

I'll be doing this exploration about business, but it can apply to any area of your life, so if you're not a business owner, I hope you'll stick around.

One way I’m doing that is through a podcast, where you’ll hear real intuitive coaching sessions with business owners who feel frozen, stuck, or silenced—and you'll see how they start to shift when they have space to look at what's really keeping them stuck.

If that’s a conversation you want to be part of, I’d love to have you.

👉 I’ve got 7 spots open for podcast sessions. Just hit reply and say “tell me more" if you're interested.

I know this frozen place. And I also know what it feels like to start moving again—slowly, gently, in your own direction.

Warmly,
Daniela

Befriending the Zodiac

I’m a coach who uses tarot and astrology to help self-doubters transform their relationship with themselves so that they can stop playing small and create the life they want. I believe that tarot and astrology are a ton of fun…and when you use them on a regular basis, they are truly powerful catalysts to creating the life you want. I write about how I use these tools in my life on a daily basis.

Hi Reader! Are you the kind of person who falls into a book and forgets the real world exists? I LOVE epic fantasy series. You know, the ones that you can read for months, and when they end you feel like a bunch of close friends just moved away? Right now, I'm reading a series called Dungeon Crawler Carl by Matt Dinniman. I almost skipped it—because, honestly, Dungeon Crawler Carl? That sounds like a bad mobile game from 2007. But I'm obsessed. The series starts when Carl's ex-girlfriend's...

Hi Reader! It's been awhile since I've written, and I feel rusty, like a neck that's been angled wrong on a pillow all night. Since my last email went out to you, I went to Seattle for an astrology convention (amazing!), did readings at a huge two day fair in Denver (great, but also really stressful...especially the GIGANTIC storm that almost blew my tent away at the end), celebrated my 43rd birthday (chill and fun), and got my two of my wisdom teeth out (painful, but not as bad as I thought...

Hi Reader! The phrase self-love is thrown around so much these days. It's what I do in my work - help my clients fall in love with themselves. (If you're ready to explore this work together, you can schedule a Cosmic Clarity Call here.) But what does self-love really mean, anyway? And is it even fully possible? This Monday I received a reading from my new friend who is a Human Design coach and energy healer. She told me that part of me was hiding. She said it looked like I was in a dark cave,...
