Plot twist: Being overlooked was exactly what I needed ๐ŸŒŸ

Hey Reader,

You know that feeling when you're waiting to be picked? When your worth feels like it's hanging on someone else's choice?

Yeah, let's talk about that.

Recently at a metaphysical fair, I watched people wait for the reader across from me to be available while my table sat empty. That old familiar story started playing:

"If I was just different/better/more [insert impossible standard here], they would choose me."

After drenching myself in painful stories for a few hours, I remembered that I had a powerful tool in my hands (literally) that could help shed some light on the situation.

So I did what I always do when my inner critic is running wild - I pulled some cards.

As usual, tarot cut through to the truth beneath my thoughts.

Instead of predicting whether I'd get more clients (which is what my ego wanted to know), the cards mirrored back what was really happening: I was letting an old wound about not being "good enough" run the show.

That's the thing about our inner critic - it loves to take our insecurity and make it SO MUCH WORSE by creating a laundry list of reasons why we SHOULD feel insecure.

And once it gets going, it finds evidence EVERYWHERE.

Trust me, I see this same pattern in so many of my clients' experiences, whether it shows up in:

  • Your business (making up stories about why you're not good enough)
  • Your relationships (seeing your partner's inability to meet your needs as a sign that your needs don't matter)
  • Your creativity (seeing your creative work as a frivolous thing because capitalist society doesn't value it)

The pattern is the same: We look to others to prove our worth, and when they fail to show up, we make up stories about why we don't deserve what we want.

But here's the truth.

Life isn't about being chosen. It's about choosing yourself first.

Once I could give that wounded part of myself the love and understanding she needed, I felt way better, more grounded, and actually grateful that I wasn't slammed with readings all day.

And you know what? More people started showing up for readings after I made that switch.

Maybe it's just because the lunch rush was over, but I think it's because they could feel my own shift into worthiness.

If you're tired of waiting to be chosen instead of choosing yourself, I'd love to invite you to a Self-Trust Breakthrough Session.

Together, we'll:

  • Use your birth chart and tarot as mirrors to connect to a juicy vision for your life
  • Get clarity about how you're getting in your own way when it comes to going after what you really want
  • Come up with a tangible first step for moving toward your desires (no matter how impractical or impossible they feel)

Warmly,

Daniela

Befriending the Zodiac

I believe that tarot and astrology are a ton of funโ€ฆand when you use them on a regular basis, they are truly powerful catalysts to creating the life you want. I write about how I use these tools in my life on a daily basis.

Hi Reader! The phrase self-love is thrown around so much these days. It's what I do in my work - help my clients fall in love with themselves. (If you're ready to explore this work together, you can schedule a Cosmic Clarity Call here.) But what does self-love really mean, anyway? And is it even fully possible? This Monday I received a reading from my new friend who is a Human Design coach and energy healer. She told me that part of me was hiding. She said it looked like I was in a dark cave,...

Hi Reader! Ever notice how sometimes the most profound clarity comes from the simplest questions? This week, instead of wrestling with the buzzing thoughts in my head when writing this email, I decided to pull a tarot card, close my eyes, and do an intuitive visualization. I pulled the Seven of Swords reversed. The figure in this card is awkwardly carrying five swords (by the blades! Ouch!) while looking back longingly at two swords they couldnโ€™t manage to pick up. It feels like a frozen...
